Retired from Intel R & D | Ben is an enthusiastic UT Austin alumni with a passion for education. He also volunteers for the Intel Retirees and at Hilhi where he has mentored InvenTeams (funded by the Lemelson Foundation) for two years. |
| Dianna Bancke | Program Manager, Techstart Education Foundation | Diana's teaching career started by volunteering in the computer room in her children’s elementary school and evolved into a classified computer teaching position in 1985. She taught in a K-4 public school for many years, and then a K-8 private school, picking up her Masters in Teaching and teaching license along the way. She has both attended classes and volunteered at SuperQuest. Other volunteer experience includes LEGO robotics tournaments and TechStart's Uncork-Ed gala. |
| Ryan Collay | Assistant Director, Programming, SMILE, OSU | In his 14 years with SMILE, Ryan has striven to make sure students develop connections to college through their interests and aspirations in science and math (STEM). He also supports teachers through their professional development as well as through partnerships and club curriculum. |
| David Coronado | Director, MESA (Math Engineering Science Achievement) PSU | David is working on a Pre-Engineering Conference for MESA students and their families at PSU on April 14. |
| Joyce Cresswell | Executive Director, Saturday Academy | Joyce came to the OPAS Strategic Planning Summit in 2005 and worked on Best Practices, and then spent some time with the Marketing Committee in 2006. Lately, she's been establishing Saturday Academy as an independent non-profit, but found time to attend the NOISE kickoff conference. |
| Don Domes | PTE Teacher, Hillsboro High School | Don is a passionate advocate of hands-on education, and changing the system through grass roots activism. He's coached LEGO Robotics, and this year has a Lemelson InvenTeam. |
| Endi Hartigan | Communications Associate, OUS Office of the Chancellor | Endi 's background is in writing, and she is an active part of OUS communications team supporting OPAS. She is dedicated and resourceful administrator whose time and ingenuity has benefitted the initiative. |
| Mary Beth Horton | Deputy Director, BEC (Business Education Compact) | Mary Beth's responsibilities for BEC operations include National Engineers Month (NEM). Her work with NEM and BEC's commitment to developing awareness of and interest in STEM-related careers is highly synergistic with her OPAS committee efforts. |
| Bill Lesh | Principal, The Center for Advanced Learning | Bill is an enthusiastic champion for close involvement between schools and business. He is also a caring principal who attends his students' major events, such as the First Robotics Regional Competition in March. |
| Valeree Lane | Director of Public Affairs, OIT | Valeree was at the OPAS Workshop in November, and travels around the state often. |
| Kris Nieman | Program Coordinator, Dean's Office, MCECS, PSU | "Some of my past experiences include project management for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration at Langley Air Force Base and the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. I am especially interested in pre-engineering programs and workforce development linked to community outreach. I love my work because I feel that communicating vital information regarding academic affairs and effectively capturing outreach tools that will impact the values of our community is crucial." |
| Jo Oshiro | OPAS Staff Support | Jo came to OPAS after 10 years "at home" as personal assistant to a kid who's done soccer, Girl Scouts, LEGO Robotics, marching band. She thinks that STEM education is more closely allied to arts education than most people are willing to admit, and believes passionately in active learning and immersion. In a previous life, Jo did a variety of computer programming and support. |
| Roger Rennekamp | State 4H Program Leader | The 4H program benefits from funding by ETIC Pre-College Collaborative; they have an array of STEM enrichment activities and programs. Roger recently attended the NOISE conference. |
| Ray Vandiver | VP of Exhibits, OMSI | Ray has been an enthusiastic and proactive supporter of OPAS and has made OMSI a generous donor to OPAS workshops and outreach efforts. |

| Eda Davis-Lowe | Director of SMILE (Science and Math Investigate Learning Experiences) OSU | Eda chairs the OPAS Initiative Succeed Strategy Workgroup and is an articulate and well-traveled champion for diversity and creating a college-going culture. She likes the symphony. |
| Wendy Hawkins | Executive Director, Intel Foundation and Manager of Strategic Initatives, Intel Education, Intel Corporation | Wendy interested in the work of the OPAS Initiative, and has been instrumental in setting up the TV show "Design Squad".. |
| Di Saunders | Director, Communications Department, OUS Office of the Chancellor | Di has been a key part of the OPAS effort from the beginning. She's a NW native who has spent time with the Peace Corps, in Africa, and in the foundation sector in the Northeast. |
