We agreed:

  • survey fall 2009 and years after
  • mandatory
  • web-based out of OUS Zoomerang
  • look for additional participants -- CC
  • not trying to survey K-12 OST until later; may use some of the same questions
  • learning motivations of URM very important.
  • all institutions using same survey.
  • completion code or other verifier needed.
Jo:
  • draft survey on zoomerang as per changes discussed
  • provide survey & data from 2006 survey to Ellen & Brett
    • females - % with engineering relative
  • ask Don Domes about additional "engineering" OSTs
  • ask Roger Rennekamp re: simple branding to differentiate 4-H tech programs from others
  • ask Ryan Collay, Edith Gummer for "kid language" to talk about program elements
  • email no-go dates in March & schedule meeting before spring break
  • completion code question. Cathy? Ken?

Brett:

  • Talk to community college people during Engineered Communities meeting Friday, Feb 13 - names of those willing to pilot?
  • List of majors for drop-down menu to Jo
